Agency Joins the Ranks of Leading National Health Care Communication Specialists
Concord, N.C. – Walker Marketing received a bronze National Health Information Award for its radio campaign for Delaware Hospice, the only not-for-profit hospice provider in the state of Delaware.
“We felt a fresh creative approach was needed in order for Delaware Hospice to maintain and build their market share within the state of Delaware,” stated Erin Richey, vice president of client service. “By leveraging the credibility of the health care professional in end-of-life discussions, we were able to showcase the doctor-patient relationship and encourage individuals to inquire about their end-of-life care options.”
The 19th annual National Health Information Awards program reviewed nearly 1,000 entries submitted by a wide variety of leading organizations in the consumer health field. Walker Marketing joined the ranks of other leading health care communication specialists, including the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Edelman and John Hopkins University.
The judges, a panel of health information experts, selected gold, silver, bronze and merit winners.
According to Patricia Henze, executive director of the Health Information Resource Center, “these awards set an industry standard of quality for consumer health materials and this seal of quality helps health professionals find the best consumer health information resources for their programs.”
The National Health Information Awards is organized by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health professionals who work in consumer health education fields.
